JEE Mains 2017: Cutoff Marks of General, OBC, SC & ST

JEE Main Cutoff 2017 is the minimum required scores that an applicant will have to secure in order to qualify JEE Main 2017 examination and to advance further into JEE Advanced 2017. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be announcing the JEE Main 2017 cutoff on April 27, 2017 along with the release of the official result.

The cut off of JEE Main 2017 will let the applicants know which institutes will be open for admission as per their secured ranks. It is to be noted that the cutoff varies as per the category of the applicant. Therefore, the applicants will have to secure the qualifying scores as per their selected category. Admissions into the various participating NITs, IIITs and GFTIs will be done based on the set cutoff ranks of JEE Main. More details regarding JEE Main 2017 cut off is available in the article below.

The top 2,20,000 JEE Main 2017 applicants will be selected based on the cutoff to prepare for the JEE Advanced 2017 examination. Admissions into IITs will be done through this exam. JEE Main 2017 Cutoff has been on a constant decline for the past three years and experts have commented that this might be a result of the increased pool of JEE Advanced. While the total number of top candidates filtered for JEE Advanced 2016 from JEE Main 2016 was increased by 50,000 (making it a total of 2 lakh), in 2015 only 1.5 lakh top candidates from JEE Main were allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. Check JEE Main 2017 cutoff statistics from below article.
