ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
If you have an attraction towards electronic devices, machines , communications and you wonder how they work, then a degree course in Electronics and Communication Engineering is best suited for you.
There is a lot of interesting stuff inside an Electronics and Communication Engineering. You are going to see the world through a different perspective. It seems that it is going to take you to the modern future. Electronics and Communication Engineering is the effective employment of science , technology and mathematics to the practical world problem solving. Here Engineers engage in the various activities such as research & development, Design & testing of various electronic devices, communication networks. In the recent days we enjoy various devices like cellular telephones, Personal Computers, Laptops, Television, LCD, LED, Plasma screens, wearable electronic gadgets, automatic machines and many more…Thanks to Electronics and Communication Engineers. Without them we cannot imagine a modern electronic world!
ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING COURSE AND EDUCATION
Electronics and Communication Engineering is basically offered in degree programs from Bachelors, Masters and up to Doctoral Level. This course structure prepares students as Electronics and Communication Engineer, Systems Engineer, Control Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer, Circuit Design Engineer, Embedded Engineer, VLSI Engineer, Microwave Engineer, and along with this it prepares them as University Researchers and Professors. Various topics are covered in this Course Structure as Electronics Devices and Circuits, Network Analysis, Control Engineering, Micro controllers and Micro Processors, Fiber Optic Communication, Microwave Engineering, Principles of Communications, Satellite Communications, Digital and Analog Circuits, Engineering Mathematics as well as it covers the basics of all other engineering branches . It puts a rigorous emphasis on science & technology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
An aspiring student must go for a course in a recognized government college or university or an ABET accredited program. ABET, incorporated as the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc. It is a non-governmental organization that accredits post-secondary education programs in applied and natural science, engineering, computing, and engineering technology. Diploma and Associate level degrees are also available like from ITI ( Industrial Training Institutes) in India. The associate program mainly focus on giving employment as technicians engaged in repair and service of equipment such as electronic machinery, broadcast television, radio, communication devices and so on.The technicians also assist the engineers in various engineering processes. Coursework includes equipment soldering, microcomputer systems and electronic control systems, electrical circuit analysis, semiconductor devices and circuits, digital systems, industrial safety. Employers range from research & development labs to electronic equipment manufacturers, as well as colleges and universities, government agencies, medical labs and hospitals.
The degree programs are available as follows:
- B.Tech./ B.E. – Electronics and Telecommunication
- Associate of Electronics and Engineering Technology
- B.Tech/ B.E. in Communication Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering (B. S.)
- M.S. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering (B. E./ B. Tech./ M. E. /M. Tech. / B.S. / M.S.)
- Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (B. E./ B. Tech./ M. E. /M. Tech. / B.S. / M.S.)
- Electronics and Communication Engineering ( Doctorate)
Basically, the degree from private organizations is of B. E./ M. E. ( Bachelor of Engineering/ Master of Engineering). The Indian government organization provides the degrees as B. Tech. / M. Tech. ( Bachelor of Technology / Master of Technology ). The degree B.S. / M.S. ( Bachelor of Science / Master of Science) is provided in abroad nations. Generally students with a rich monetary background should apply for B.S. or M.S. otherwise B. Tech. / M. Tech. from IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) or NITs ( National Institute of Technology) or any recognized university holds good in India.
There is an option for distant learning courses.
- Free Online Electronics and Communication Degree Program
- Online Engineering Courses
- Free Online Electronics Engineering Programs
- Online Communication Engineering Programs
With Online Eckovation Courses you can enhance your abilities to the next level. It will add to your skills and you can showcase your achievements so that it can fetch you your dream job.
The abroad Universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, MIT, CIT and many other dignified Universities also offer courses in online mode for distant learning on various Engineering fields. These are meant for those who cannot afford to go abroad.
Yes, the online degree courses matter. However, you must beware that the any online degree course offered solely through offline mode is not recognized by the education regulator University Grants Commission ( UGC) in India. So don’t get tempted by any such advertisements in any newspapers or internet. It is always best to attend a full time degree course in order to get a proper exposure to learning and social interaction.
A lot of career paths are available for the Electronic & Communication Engineering Students.
They can apply for Engineer Posts at various PSUs and Reputed Organizations in India. They can enter in a Space programs in India. Many other high-profile jobs are also available in the MNCs or else in other private sector bodies.
For Electronics and Communication Engineering as a result of recession and decline in manufacturing there is a slower than average growth as compared to the other branches. But still the core Industries prefer the Electronics Engineers with high CTC. In India for fresher ECE degree holders the salary of an ECE candidate are ranging from minimum of Rs. 12000 to a maximum of Rs. 30000 per month, based on knowledge and performance. The salary may increase with higher education i.e. Masters and Doctors.
The quantity of Electronics and Communication Engineering aspirants is more than other branches but these many vacancies are not available at present time. However there are chances of increase in demand and manufacturing of electronics components and devices in near future. The ECE students are proficient in handling both hardware and software of a system and they can deal with any problem. So, in future there are better chances for the electronics and communication engineers.
